Our FUNCTIONS
- To broaden and strengthen linkages with institutions of higher learning and other agencies, public or private, local* and foreign, in the fields of instruction, research, and other areas of cooperation
- To promote academic exchanges that will enable the University to achieve optimum use of its resources through the exchange of faculty and students, cooperative research, and other projects

Partnerships
- Negotiate and establish linkages with potential partners

Facilitate the signing of agreements such as Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)/ Memorandum of Academic Cooperation (MAC) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)/
Specific Activity Agreement (SAA) - Monitor existing partnerships
Internationalization Activities
- Facilitate university-wide international research collaborations and program development
- Assist in the implementation of international programs
- Coordinate delegation visits involving multiple UPLB units
Mobility
Inbound
- Assist students with UPLB admission
- Assistance on visa processing of those under partnership agreement with UPLB
Outbound
- Assist students with student exchange program application, MOVE UP application and nomination, and application to partner universities
- Provide guidance to faculty and staff of UPLB delegations traveling abroad
- Provide guidance to faculty and staff on fellowship and suretyship programs
OIL Committees
Committee on Internationalization (CIZN)
is composed of the different International Relations Officers from each College
International Relations Officer (IRO)
- Represent a unit in meetings of the Committee on Internationalization
- Actively search for potential exchange students from the unit for nomination to student exchange programs
- Submit reports on internationalization from the unit for endorsement to the UP System OIL
- Coordinate internationalization activities specific to the unit such as student exchange, student internship, and study tours, among others
