Announcing the New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program at NCHU

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program, founded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), focusing on sustainability in 2024!

Program Details

**Duration:** September 2024 to January 2025

**Stipends and Benefits:**
- **Monthly Stipend:** NTD 10,000
- **Travel:** Round-trip economy class flight ticket (up to NTD 25,000)
- **Accommodation:** On-campus housing
- **Courses:** Free Mandarin courses and credited sustainability-related courses
- **Activities:** Free cultural activities

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this opportunity, students must:

- **Citizenship:**
Be citizens of Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand.
- **Education Level:**
Be third-year, fourth-year, or master’s students.
- **Interest:**
Regardless of background, possess an interest in the field of sustainability.

Program Structure

This program comprises two parts:

1. **Sustainability-Related Course:** A mandatory four-hour credited course.
2. **Mandarin Courses:** Six non-credited courses.

While we have attached the syllabus for the sustainability-related course, please note that the Mandarin courses are customized, and thus, we are unable to provide their syllabi at this time.

Additional Course Opportunities

Students have the flexibility to choose other credited courses at NCHU based on their interests. As the course list for the 2024-2025 academic year will be published one month before the new semester, we are unable to provide it at this time. However, we have attached the list of English-taught courses for the 2023-2024 academic year for your reference.
