
Be Part of the 24th International Student Summit (ISS) 2025
The 24th ISS will be held from September 3–6, 2025, bringing together students from around the world to discuss "Youth-led Innovations and Community Empowerment towards a Sustainable Future."
Selection Process
Applications are open to undergraduate students (at least in their sophomore year) and graduate students at UPLB who are expected to complete their studies after September 2025.
Prospective candidates should be able to showcase either personal initiatives with a discernible impact on their community or engage in research activities associated with Food, Agriculture, and the Environment.
The application form will require you to submit a concept note. Shortlisted applicants will be requested to present their research and undergo an interview.
Tentative Timeline
- April 4 (Friday): Deadline for applications
- April 5 – April 14: Screening process
- April 14 – April 21: Finalization of the manuscript
- April 21: Deadline of full manuscript submission to the ISS
- Mid-June: Final participant list announcement
- June 23 (Mon.): Dispatch of Acceptance Letters
- July 1 onward: Visa application (VOA)
- July 7 (Mon.): Pre-Summit (Online) – Mandatory
- July 28 (Mon.): Final ISS Manuscript Submission
- September 2 (Tue.): Arrival in Indonesia
- September 3 (Wed.): Opening, Group Sessions, Poster Presentation
- September 4 (Thu.): Group Sessions, Workshop
- September 5 (Fri.): General Discussion, Cultural Workshop, Closing
- September 6 (Sat.): Optional Excursion
International Assistance for Oral Presenters
- International Airfare: Covered by Tokyo NODAI for selected universities
- Accommodation & Meals: IPB University will provide airport transfers, accommodation (with breakfast), and selected meals
Support for Poster Presenters
IPB University will provide airport transfers, lunch, and dinner during ISS week. However, accommodation and personal expenses will be covered by the participant.
Estimated cost: IDR 3,300,000 (~3.3 million Indonesian Rupiah)
ISS Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Participants must submit a 4-7 page manuscript using the provided Microsoft Word template. The manuscript should:
- Be single-spaced, using Times New Roman (Title: 14 pt, Main text: 12 pt)
- Follow APA citation format for all sources
- Discuss how youth-led initiatives address food, agriculture, and environmental challenges
