The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) sealed a partnership agreement with Ulster University. The ceremonial signing took place at the Sining Makiling Gallery last 19 January 2024, marking a pivotal moment in fostering international collaboration and academic cooperation.

Ulster University, a public institution situated in Northern Ireland, shares the same dedication as UPLB in providing global quality education.

The partnership opens avenues for joint initiatives, particularly the student and staff mobility program. This program aims to enhance the academic experience and promote cultural exchange between the two universities.

Representing UPLB during the signing ceremony were UPLB Chancellor Dr. Jose V. Camacho, Jr., Office of International Linkages Director Anna Floresca F. Firmalino, and College of Human Ecology (CHE) Dean Jennifer Marie S. Amparo. On behalf of Ulster University, Dr. Denise MacDermott, senior lecturer from the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences, played a key role in formalizing the agreement.

This partnership signifies UPLB's commitment to expanding its global reach and enriching connections with esteemed institutions worldwide.
